I only had a few pics of our room, although in some future pics we are hanging around the room. We had a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom condo on the 4th floor. It had a nice balcony, even a nice full kitchen.
Jason, romancing his gift which he was waiting to open until Auntie Beth arrived.
We bought him a Wii Fit Plus so he could play skateboarding and snowboarding games (Auntie Beth got him the new Shaun White snowboarding game). The Wii Fit was not at all easy to find, I'm very thankful for eBay (it was brand new in box...can't find it at the stores though, or online. Trust me.)
We arrived in Orlando at 10:30am, much earlier than the expected noon or two. The baby was excellent and slept most of the time, didn't really need many stops. Overnight is really the way to go with young ones. We stopped by the local Publix for some food (breakfasts and snacks).
Then it was off to Epcot Friday!! Jason picked from the Disney parks, and we ended up there. It was a blast, even though it did rain all day long. We grabbed some ponchos before going into the park.
This pic cracks me up-all those warnings on plastic bags, all over a rainy Disney park you see people wrappin their kids in what is essentially a huge plastic bag. Really, they are ponchos, we cut holes in Matthew's for his head. You are probably thinking "didn't all the parents do that?". No. Saw several babies with ponchos over them completely. Ugh.
One of our favorite rides at Epcot was Spaceship Earth. It was the first one we went on. AT the end of several of Epcot's rides, you walk out into a HUGE room with activities. At the end of Spaceship Earth, they had this futuristic game the the kids played:

The London area of Epcot, the kids were fascinated by the telephone booth. The fact that the phone had a cord was very interesting to them (and made me feel like a dinosaur:)
Can't remember the name of this ride, but I remember spinning around and around in a small enclosed space (not for the faint of heart, and not for me to ride a second time):

We met up with Bethany and Chris after Epcot, and had a nice dinner at a local restaurant. Afterwards Jason opened his birthday gifts, and we all sat around playing Wii Fit and chatting. Bethany and Chris asked KT to be a flower girl in their wedding in Sept (awwwwwwwww):
The next day we were off to Disney Magic Kingdom! The sun was out, no rain in site. Which meant the crowds were waiting. I realized rain was better than crowds, but we used FastPasses most of the day so it was no big deal.
What WAS a big deal, was getting in. That was the longest line we waited in all day-it was 2 hours from when we parked to getting in the actual park. We waited in 3 lines, ticketing, the line for the ferry, the line to give our ticket at the gate. It was the worst! I assume it's because they were particularly busy with having bad weather the previous few days. Plus it was a Saturday.

Moving onto Sunday, we spent the day at the resort. We rented a cabana by the lazy river. There were something like 8 pools on the property, mini golf, several restaurants. Lots to do!! Our cabana was the nicest-and I'm not just saying that. Even the neighboring cabanas agreed...because our cabana backed up to the lazy river. The others surrounding us had bushes in the back and they couldn't easily get to the lazy river, we had our own private entrance. OK, I'll stop bragging now.
Katie entered the resorts hula hooping contest, along iwth about 15 other people. Kids, adults, teens, everyone showed. And Katie took home first place!! They had them hula hoop jumping, spinning, and finally with two hula hoops. She did great!!
Woohwho!!! Finally done with this post. :) It has taken me since this morning to get all these pics up(and I think I may have spilled soda on the space key, so it's sticky now-doh)! Disney was fun, it was way better than I thought it would be, much larger, and I think we are all looking forward to going back.
It made it extra nice that Bethany and Chris joined us! The fun and chatting was well worth the 14+ hour drive for us, and Jason said this was the best birthday ever.
