We went to watch Jason at the Wilmington Wrestling Invitational today. He did awesome! He won two matches, both by pinning. The third match he really should have won-there was a lot of drama between his coach and the ref (disorderly conduct was even called on Jason's coach). The match ended at 8 points to 7 points (Jason being in the lead), and the ref stood up afterwards and instantly awarded 4 points to the opposite team for facemask pull and back points on Jason. Neither occurred that anyone saw, but what the ref says goes, and that's fine. That was probably the best match we saw all day, even though technically the other guy won. It's always neat to see the pins, I can't imagine the hard work and strength that go into it. Matthew did his best at the meet-it was 8 hours of baby carrier and stroller. By the time we left he was ready to be free and crawl around.
Here's a video of one of the pins. I didn't have my camera on me, only my phone which can only take one minute of video at a time. After one minute, I hit record again and got the pin on video. So watch the first video, then the second for the surprise ending. :)Jason is in the purple/black/white.
