Vacation-Day 2

So we made it to North Captiva Island! It is gorgeous out here. We woke up this morning and finished driving 3 1/2 hours to Pine Island Marina. We stopped to shop for last minute groceries (which turned into more groceries than we thought). We finally made it to the Marina, and the staff there were the nicest
ever. They helped us unload our car and we waited for our boat ferry. While waiting, KT and I tried the best fresh squeezed lemonaide ever. It was about 95 degrees when we arrived, small storms threatening but holding back thankfully.
We were on the ferry with a few other families-some getting off at North Captiva and some going on to other vacation spots. The check in process was simple but time consuming, and we had so many groceries and luggage peices that we had to wait about 30 minutes for help to our rental house. No big deal though-there was another family waiting and we struck up a conversation. Turned out they were returning to the island and had vacationed here for 12 years. They were able to give us lots of tips about the island and getting around.
We followed our luggage to our house rental with our golf cart, and found our house to look exactly like the pictures online! It was a huge relief, and we even found some extras that weren't in the description online.
KT Jason and Steve swam right away, while Matthew slept and I walked around the house unpacking and exploring. The small storm didn't hold back for long, it rained but it didn't stop everyone from enjoying the pool. :) We haven't seen the beach yet, and hope to do that first thing in the morning, along with exploring the island.
I don't think I have posted a link yet to North Captiva:

here is the link to our rental (check out the pics, I took pics but they turned out almost exactly like what's online):
